Good nutrition is a way of life that allows you to be as mentally and physically healthy as possible. There is no one ideal nutritional plan for everyone, but choosing a healthy eating plan that works for you will offer you some major benefits. Nutritionist Margaret Stattman is passionate about understanding how food works and empowering her clients with this knowledge.

Nutrition consultation

Before your initial nutrition consultation, it’s ideal to complete a two-week diet dairy (we can e-mail this to you when making the appointment). Analysis of your diet allows me to overview the type of foods you eat, your eating patterns, fluid intake, and lifestyle habits.

Firstly, I use the Tanita body scales to access your metabolic age, bone mass, physique rating, muscle mass, cellular hydration, fat percentage, and weight. This information will guide me in how to support your body to make energy, burn fat and hydrate cells.  

Bio-typing allows you to know which gland is most dominant in your body assisting you with what foods to avoid, what foods to eat and when to eat them. 

I will teach you how to use your food to control dietary hormones and keep these balanced. This will create weight loss, reduce inflammation throughout the body as well as lowering bad cholesterol and improving good cholesterol.

You will receive a booklet and DVD which explain all we have spoken about, so you can review them at home. The booklet contains 50 fantastic recipes which are, low allergy, simple, easy, nutritious food. It also contains shopping lists, detailed list of high and low GI, carbohydrates, proteins, fats.

 

You will leave with a plan specifically for you of different options for breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks that will fit into your lifestyle aimed at maintaining high energy levels through the day while supporting the body to burn fat for fuel and supporting detoxification pathways as well as reducing inflammation in the body, and supporting gut bacteria.
