What to keep in mind when starting your fitness journey

Nothing seemed more daunting than taking that first step on your fitness journey. Feelings of uncertainty and doubt, feeling confused and helpless.If you want to live healthier but don't know where to start. Whether you've already started your fitness journey or you're someone who is looking for that push to take your first step, here are some things I wish I had in mind when I first started my fitness journey:

Find your support system

Whether it's family, friends, or a combination, having someone or a group of people cheer you on throughout your fitness journey and share your successes with you can help push you forward.

Everyone's journey is different

Just because someone else's fitness journey looks a certain way does not mean that your fitness journey has to be the same. Your fitness journey is all about Y-O-U and your progress.

Take rest days

It's easy to think that the more you work out, the faster you'll see results. However, rest days are crucial for your body to repair, especially after a hard workout.

Ask questions

How much water should I drink a day? How much protein should I be consuming? Am I doing the right exercises for my goal?
